To Bloom...

When I was walking back from the Financial District yesterday, I saw a bunch of delicate chrome tulips uprooted by the wind along the sidewalk near the Oculus. I went past it, only to stop after a few steps. I walked back and with my bare hands planted it back in its bed of mulch.

Later as I boarded the PATH train, I felt a choke in my throat.

A part of me was that plant.. and how beautiful it is when divine sent angels lend stoic strength in one’s journey when knocked over by the wind... And what it means for that plant just to be able to grow again.

A few days later when I saw the bed of flowers, I couldn't tell the one that I planted back from the rest. :)
